Hovden centre can be reached within 30 minutes' walk. Oslo is 117 km from this Hovden inn, while Vestheisen is 2.9 km away. The Hovden Fjellstoge will also take you to the Hovden Alpinsenter ski resort, which is nearly a 15-minute drive away. Hovden nord bus stop is situated right around the corner from the hotel.

Our stay at Hovden Fjellstoge was truly memorable. The location is perfect for exploring Norway's best cross-country ski trails right outside the cabin. The traditional guest rooms with wooden floors added a touch of authenticity to our mountain retreat. The in-house restaurant, led by Chef Trond Skjeie, delivered high-quality home-cooked meals based on locally sourced ingredients, truly a culinary delight. The free ski bus to Hovden Ski Centre made our winter getaway even more convenient.Despite the cozy wooden construction of the place, it was slightly narrow, but the comfort of the beds and soft bedding made up for it. The breakfast and dinner were exceptional, reflecting Chef Trond Skjeie's expertise in Nordic cooking. The variety of accommodation options, from rooms to self-catering cottages, catered to all preferences.The activities available, such as mini golf and skiing, provided us with ample entertainment options throughout our stay. The free shuttle service and children's playground added extra convenience for families. Hovden Fjellstoge proved to be the perfect base for our mountain adventures, offering comfortable rooms, delicious food, and a warm ambiance that made our trip truly special.
